The 53-foot tractor-trailer slid into a containment wall in Mission Hills.

MISSION HILLS, CA — A big rig jack-knifed Thursday morning on the transition road from the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway to the westbound Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway in Mission Hills and prompted the closure of that transition road for more than two hours.

The 53-foot tractor-trailer slid into a containment wall on the freeway about 4:15 a.m., according to a California Highway Patrol incident log.

A SigAlert was issued at about 4:30 a.m., and the road was re-opened about two hours later, the CHP reported.
