KindNest Foundation’s October Shopping Event Visited by SVUSD Board Members

This month’s free shopping event hosted by the KindNest Foundation at El Toro High School was a great success. In addition to welcoming one of the largest crowd of shoppers to date, we were also honored by the attendance of SVUSD Board Members Mrs. Amanda Morrell and Dennis Walsh, as well as community volunteer and donor to the KindNest Foundation Mrs. Diane Theroux.

Built around the theme “Spookfest”, shoppers were greeted with seasonal decorations and music. Many of the students were looking for items to complete their Halloween costumes, in addition to pieces to add to their everyday wardrobe.

The KindNest Foundation is a 501(3)c charity that collects new and gently used clothing, shoes and accessories that are distributed at a monthly free shopping event on campus during lunch. All current students are welcome.
