Ladera Ranch Drug Bust, EDD Fraud, Moreno Valley Man Arrested
Orange County Sheriff's Department confronted a suspect in Ladera Ranch Saturday night and made this discovery.

LADERA RANCH, CA — Orange County Sheriff's Department reported another arrest with ties to the ongoing EDD fraud that has run rampant across California in recent weeks.
A Southeast Special Enforcement Team located a Moreno Valley man driving a vehicle with expired registration tags on the Crown Valley Bridge, according to Sgt. Dennis Breckner.
"The driver was on probation, and a search was conducted," a department spokesperson says.

Manuel Christopher Rodriguez, 44 of Moreno Valley, was driving the vehicle.
Inside Rodriguez's vehicle, they found an array of drugs, drug paraphernalia, illegal weapons, and evidence of EDD fraud.

Rodriguez was arrested and has been booked on various felony fraud and weapon charges in addition to numerous drug violations, according to Breckner.
He is currently in the Theo Lacy Facility, and his next court appearance is scheduled on Tuesday, according to jail records.
