Ladera Ranch Little League Renames Field In Reese Imhoff's Memory

After his recent passing, a former Ladera Ranch player was honored by his friends and fellow players with the renaming of his local field.

LADERA RANCH, CA — A community in mourning following the passing of one of their own has renamed a baseball field in his honor. Reese passed away on March 10, at the age of 15.

On Saturday, May 4, Cox#4 Baseball Field was renamed the Reese Imhoff Memorial Field by Ladera Ranch Little League.

Nicknamed "Beast," Reese Imhoff "gave his all in whatever he did," a memorial plaque says.

Reese was a regular presence out at the fields, with Ladera Ranch Little League. He was an All-Star for several seasons and completed his Little League career in 2015. Then, came Reese's bone cancer diagnosis.

During his treatment, Reese Imhoff was a constant reminder of perseverance and strength and the source of inspiration, according to those who knew him best. His family says that he fought relentlessly for bone cancer research, treatment and funding.

"May the players at these fields be inspired to fight on and keep the faith, just like Reese," the plaque says.
