Metrolink Service In Mission Viejo Affected By Maintenance Work

Metrolink riders heading through OC can expect delays of up to 60 minutes due to connecting bus service, according to officials.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — This weekend, regular Metrolink service will only be available as far south as the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Metrolink Station on the Orange County and Inland Empire-Orange County lines, as well as the weekends of Feb. 9-10, March 2-3 and March 9-10, due to scheduled maintenance work, the commuter rail service announced Wednesday.

The tracks between the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo and Oceanside stations will be closed.
The closure "is a result of track work in north San Diego County to ensure safety and reliability of service," according to a Metrolink statement which says the work windows and affected service could change due to weather conditions.

During the four weekends, bus service will be used to transport riders between the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo and Oceanside stations for only OC Line trains 660, 661, 666, 667 and IEOC Line trains 857 and 860.
