MISSION VIEJO, CA — It's time to prepare for a summer of fun in Mission Viejo and across Orange County.

In June, Laguna Beach sees the continuation of the Promenade at Forest Avenue for dining and outdoor music. There also will be a resurgence of the First Thursday Art Walk.

Starting in July, fans will stay focused on art in Laguna Beach.

Between Sawdust Art Festival, Laguna Art-A-Fair, the Pageant of the Masters, the Festival of Arts were shuttered in 2020 due to the pandemic and are anxiously awaited by art lovers across the Southland.

The Festival of Arts Fine Art Show will open on July 5th and welcome patrons daily through September 3rd.

The Pageant of the Masters: Made in America: Trailblazing Artists and Their Stories will run July 7 – September 3, 2021 with tickets on sale beginning May 3.

The Festival of Arts Fine Arts Show is a nationally and critically acclaimed event, and one of the finest outdoor art venues held in the summer months, officials say.

The much anticipated Festival of Arts summer schedule is completed with the addition of the world-famous Pageant of the Masters' one-of-a-kind tableaux vivants or "living pictures."

Mission Fest in San Juan Capistrano: July 10

Mission Fest is full of food, wine, vendors, and music in San Juan Capistrano.

Midland will headline the Mission Fest concert and Devin Dawson, The White Buffalo, Daring Greatly and The James Kelly Band.

Orange County Fair: July 16-Aug. 15

OC Fair officials have worked closely with public health agencies to develop protocols to keep fairgoers safe while bringing back carnival rides, fair food, entertainment, competitions, animals and more to fair fans.

The Fair Board voted to keep ticket prices at the 2019 OC Fair rates, $12 general admission and $7 for children and seniors on weekdays (Wednesday, Thursday), and $14 general admission and $7 for children and seniors on weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). The current plan is for the fair to be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, which has traditionally been the case.

Orange International Street Fair: Sept. 3-5

Labor Day rings in with the food and beverage festival to celebrate the city of Orange's 100th anniversary. Learn more at www.orangestreetfair.org

Ohana Festival: Sept. 24-26

This year, the last big bash of the summer will be at Doheny State Beach, the Ohana Fest will premiere music by Kings of Leon on Friday and Eddie Vedder on Saturday. Sunday's headliner is none other than Pearl Jam, together again. Brandi Carlile, Spoon, Cold War Kids, My Morning Jacket, and more.
