Find events happening in Mission Viejo this week.

Here is a look ahead to events and happenings in Mission Viejo and Orange County for Dec. 2-8.
- Santa's returning to Lake Mission Viejo Saturday. The event starts at 4:30 p.m. and will include snow slides, hot chocolate, a 6:15 p.m. boat parade and music from the 1st Division Marine Band.
- Santa will be sitting in for breakfast, brunch and dessert this week at the community center, 24932 Veterans Way. On Friday from 7-9 p.m., Santa will share dessert with guests. Then Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. breakfast will be served with Santa, followed by brunch from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Santa has to get his appetite up for all the Christmas milk and cookies, apparently). Plan to bring your own camera.
- Bathgate Elementary hosts a holiday boutique Saturday starting at 9 a.m. Don't have a baby sitter? Kids corner provides games and crafts for kids. More than 30 vendors will be selling unique holiday gifts.
- The Laguna Playhouse is performing A Christmas MemoryTuesday at 7:30 p.m. This holiday play tells the story of Buddy, his cousin Sook, little dog Queenie, and family as they fly kites, cook up fruitcake, and celebrate the season.
- Free flu shots will be provided at the community center Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
