MISSION VIEJO, CA — Mission Viejo has announced the winners of the City’s annual Scarecrow Contest.

For the third year, the residents of Mission Viejo were tasked with designing and showcasing their take on the scarecrow. Cash prizes in the amount of $300 were awarded for Most Humorous, Spookiest, Traditional with a $500 prize awarded to the People's Choice award.

Groups work to develop a scarecrow worthy of their organization and are often focused on a historical event or a current topic of conversation. This year, the Trabuco Hills Water Polo team made their own water polo player they named "Brody."
