Senior Citizen Summit Set for March 23
"Embracing the Positive in Aging" is the topic of this year's free event.
Hundreds of older adults are expected to attend the fifth annual South County Senior Summit on March 23.
Various experts are scheduled to give presentations on “Mind, Body and Spirit: Embracing the Positive in Aging" at the free event, which also includes a complimentary contintental breakfast and lunch.
The list of speakers includes Dr. Laura Mosqueda, director of geriatrics at UC Irvine's School of Medicine; Dr. Debra Rose, director at the Center for Successful Aging; Dr. Kerry Burnight, director of UCI's elder abuse forensic center; Dr. Marilyn Ditty, CEO of Age Well Senior Services; Karen Roper, director of OC Community Services; and Dr. Trudi Carter, medical director at CalOptima.

The event is hosted by Orange County Supervisor Patricia C. Bates in collaboration with the Orange County Office on Aging and Age Well Senior Services.
This summit will be held at Laguna Woods Village, Clubhouse 3, in Laguna Woods. Registration begins at 8 a.m., followed by a program that also includes educational vendor booths and door prizes.
