South County Sports Report: Mission Viejo, Capo Valley Maintain Streak

MISSION VIEJO, CA — Highlights from the weekend, show that Mission Viejo High School took on San Juan Hills in Football and Capistrano Valley took to the El Toro turf.

Mission Viejo is 8 and 0 this season, with San Juan Hills battling to the end of the game to put points on the board of the 35-0 game. Joey Yellen earned 157 yards passing, while Akili Arnold gained 131 yards rushing in the game.

For Capistrano Valley vs. El Toro, it was a back and forth battle to end with a score of the 26-14, with the Capistrano defense shutting out El Toro in the second half. Nathan Manning ended up with 297 yards passing in the game.
