MISSION VIEJO, CA — High winds and warm temperatures were again expected across Orange County for the remainder of the week. With extreme winds come the likelihood of downed trees and limbs, as well as power outages, officials say.

In Mission Viejo, a large tree completely blocked La Mancha, just west of Salinas Lane.

"The tree belongs to the HOA in that area," Mission Viejo Police Services said. The city of Mission Viejo public works is currently clearing the tree from the roadway, though that area was closed to traffic around 1:30 p.m.
