Woman and infant taken to area hospital after 3-car collision

An adult woman and infant were taken to a nearby hospital late this afternoon following a 3-vehicle traffic collision on westbound Los Alisos Boulevard just before Rockfield Boulevard in Mission Viejo, CA.

Orange County Fire Authority, Engine 51 and numerous Orange County Sheriff Department responded to the call at about 3:44pm July 2nd 2021.

Apparently, as westbound traffic slowed to a stop, a chain reaction occurred when a Black pickup truck struck the rear of a Honda mini van pushing the rear door into the rear occupant compartment of the vehicle, The force of the crash caused the Honda to be pushed forward into the Hyundai in front of the van.

Multiple passengers of the van required extrication by OCFA. Neither of the drivers of the truck or Hyundai were injured.
