Ever since 1983 the Monrovia Historic Preservation Group has held an annual home tour to raise funds for its operation. But that pattern was broken when MOHPG found it necessary to cancel the tour last year due to the coronavirus pandemic. So this year the MOHPG Board decided to hold a virtual home tour to allow folks the opportunity to view several of Monrovia's vintage homes in the comfort and safety of their own home.
The tour is literally just days away. If you haven’t registered yet to watch the eight videos (seven homes plus an introductory video), then it is not too late to do so. Just go to the MOHPG website to register (There is also a trailer you can watch to tease your interest!). Then on May 1 at 9 am, you will be sent a link that will enable you to watch the videos during the 9-day viewing window, May 1-9. The narrated videos are each 5-10 minutes long and provide a glimpse into the wealth of vintage homes we have in this community. A $20 donation is recommended but is optional.
