$20K Reward Offered For Suspect In Killing Of 18-Year-Old

MONROVIA, CA — Authorities are offering a $20,000 reward for leads from the public that will result in the arrest of an assailant who fatally shot an 18-year-old man in Monrovia more than two years ago.

Oscar Garcia was shot to death about 11:35 p.m. on April 22, 2017, in the 100 block of West Cypress Avenue, said Deputy Trina Schrader of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Information Bureau. A male juvenile was wounded in the shooting, but survived.

Investigators released a composite drawing of the suspect, described as about 20-25 years old and 6 feet tall, with a medium build, black hair, brown eyes and a light complexion.

The reward is being offered by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
