4th Of July Contest Looking For Monrovia's Most Patriotic Homes

The contest is open to residents of Monrovia and winners will be awarded a yard sign to display in time for Independence Day.

MONROVIA, CA — Monrovians wanting to show their patriotic side have until June 29 to enter the city's Independence Day home decorating contest.

The contest is free and open to any resident of Monrovia and decorations must be visible from the street as judges will travel from each site by car and will not leave their vehicles to view the entries, according to the city.

Judging will take place from June 30 to July 1 and winners will be announced on July 2.

Awards for the decorating contest will be given in six categories:

  • Best Decorated K-Rail
  • Best Patriotic Display
  • Judge's Award
  • Most Spectacular
  • Salute to our Military Display
  • Small Town USA Display
