BRADBURY, CA — A teenage girl valiantly shoved a large bear off of her backyard wall to save her dogs Monday. The footage of the fateful moment was captured by a security camera, which was widely shared after it was posted to TikTok.

Hailey Morinico, 17, was able to thwart the bear's intrusion and attack on her family's dogs at their home in Bradbury, nestled within the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains.

Footage showed the adult bear and two cubs climbing over the wall. Within seconds, they were noticed by the home's dogs, which showed no fear as they barked at the trespasser. The large bear attempted to swat at the dogs and even seemed to lift a small one up.

But the bear was intercepted by the brave teenage girl.

To be fair, the big bear appeared to be protecting its two young cubs in tow.

In another TikTok video posted by Hailey's cousin, Hailey recounts the event.

"The bear is literally picking up one of my dogs," she said. "Her name is Valentina, she is the baby, and as her slave, I have to protect her."

She holds up a splinted finger as she describes pushing the bear, "an apex predator, man."
