ChapCare and the 2016 WNBA Champion Los Angeles Sparks hold health clinic in Monrovia, CA
Students of Clifton Middle School danced, shot basketballs and more with the WNBA Champion Sparks Street Team and Sparky the Dog
The Los Angeles Sparks and ChapCare would like to thank Clifton Middle School for hosting the #WeAreStrong School Assembly on November 2nd, 2016. Fresh off a 2016 WNBA Championship, the Sparks Street Team and Sparky the Dog educated students on how to get healthy through diet and exercise.
Students participatedin a number of activities from dance competitions with Sparky to a shoot-out contest against their teachers. The students were rewarded with autographs, backpacks and other memorabilia after they handily won both competitions.
The Sparks explained to students the importance of pairing exercising regularly with eating healthy. They demonstrated a number of easy exercises such as jumping jacks to encourage students to stay active. Students were given activity booklets for further information on healthy eating tips and The Food Pyramid.

The assembly ended with all students receiving vouchers for free tickets, and a signed basketball by the 2016 WNBA Champion LA Sparks for Principal Jackson.
