Man Wounded in Shooting in Unincorporated Monrovia Monday Night
A sheriff's official says the victim was uncooperative with detectives.

A man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg was found in a local hospital late Monday night and authorities believe he was shot in unincorporated Monrovia, a sheriff's official said.
Sheriff's deputies responded to a shots fired call after 11 p.m. in the 2200 block of Broderick Avenue Monday night, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Sgt. Jorge Marchena said. No victims were found at the location but the hospital notified authorities a short time later that a man was being treated there for a gunshot wound, Marchena said.
Police attempted to interview the man and his family but they were not forthcoming, Marchena said.
"The family was uncooperative and they didn't want to provide details to us," he said.
The location of the shooting is under investigation, Marchena said. Sheriff's detectives have not determined if the shooting was gang related, he said.
