The chain opened its 458th location in the U.S. in Hermosa Beach.
MONROVIA, CA -- Monrovia-based Trader Joe's continues its expansion plan with the opening of its latest store Thursday in Hermosa Beach.
The store, which is the chain's 458th in the U.S., took over the shuttered Ralphs supermarket store's location, which sat empty for about a year.
Trader Joe's is the sister store to Aldi, the discount supermarket chain, that is also expanding in Southern California. Aldi plans to open some 45 stores the region by the end of the year.
