Monrovia's Naked Juice Settles Lawsuit, Will Remove 'All Natural' from Labels

Monrovia-based Naked Juice has agreed last week to remove the words "all natural" from its bottle labels after plaintiffs in a class-action lawsuit alleged that the company was engaging in false advertising.

In agreeing to settle the lawsuit, Naked Juice, which has headquarters on Mayflower Avenue, will pay $9 million but admits no wrongdoing, according to the Associated Press. Customers involved in the suit claimed that the company's products contain a proprietary fiber product called Fibersol-2.

"The plaintiffs argued these ingredients, or the way they are produced, do not allow the products to qualify as “natural,” a largely unregulated term," Whole Foods Magazine reports.
