Protesters To Decry U.S. Airstrike On Iran At SGV Protest
The San Gabriel Valley rally is one of hundreds organized around the country by liberal advocacy groups Move On and Indivisible.
SAN GABRIEL VALLEY, CA — Protesters are expected to take to the streets of Sierra Madre Thursday evening to rally against the possibility of the U.S. entering into a war with Iran.
The rally comes days after the U.S. airstrike on Iran and killing of Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. In retaliation Iran attacked two U.S. military bases in Iraq.
"We must show the Trump administration that we oppose war with Iran," the Sierra Madre protest organizers wrote. "Trump’s reckless pronouncements and threats towards Iran could lead us down a very dangerous path that will cause harm to the people in the Middle East as well as Americans abroad and at home."
