Monrovia City Council, Mayor Race: Unofficial Election Results

Monrovia voters took to the polls to vote for City Council members and the Mayor.

MONROVIA, CA — With the results yet to be certified, Monrovia voted to keep incumbent Tom Adams as Mayor, and Becky Shevlin and Gloria Crudgington as councilmembers.

Three candidates vied for two seats on the Monrovia City Council, and three candidates vied for the Mayor position.

As of Wednesday morning, the results of the Mayoral race are: incumbent Tom Adam with 57.73 percent of the vote, Melissa Taylor with 38.58 percent of the vote and Stephen Grollneck with 3.69 percent of the vote.

The City Council results are: Becky Shevlin with 39.96 percent of the vote, Gloria Crudgington with 37.35 percent of the vote and Donna Baker with 22.69 percent of the vote.

As of Jan. 3 in Los Angeles County, 88.91 percent of the 6,184,646 eligible voters were registered.

Out of the 5,498,704 total registered voters, 51.11 percent are registered Democrats, 16.81 percent are registered Republicans, 2.4 percent are registered American Independents and 0.42 percent are registered Green Party.
