School Board Meeting in Closed Session Monday to Discuss Superintendent Contract
School board members will talk about contractual terms for a new superintendent but cannot discuss whether a candidate has been selected.

The Monrovia Unified School District Board of Education will meet Monday evening in closed session to discuss contractual terms for a new superintendent, a board members told Patch.
Board member Bryan Wong said he cannot discuss whether a candidate has been selected for the position but he noted that the board will be going over terms of a contract at Monday's meeting.
"It is to get terms of a contract better defined," Wong said. "After the meeting it might be a little bit more clear on what we can say."
Finalists for the superintendent job were interviewed by the board earlier this month, though those candidates have not been identified.
Interim Supertintendent Deborah Collins applied for the position but her status as a finalist is unknown. Several petition drives were started by local residents in an effort to urge the board to appoint Collins to the job instead of hiring an executive recruitment firm to aid in the search.
The superintendent position was vacated when Linda Wagner left MUSD for Anaheim in April.
