Shooter At-Large After Wounding One In Monrovia

The victim drove away from the scene to a home in Arcadia before they were taken to a hospital.

MONROVIA, CA — One person was wounded in a shooting in Monrovia Tuesday evening, but the victim drove away from the scene to a home in Arcadia.

The shooting occurred near a shopping center in the 1600 block of Mountain Avenue, just south of the Foothill (210) Freeway, around 9:30 p.m., according to the Monrovia Police Department.

The victim was found a short time later at a home in the 400 block of Genoa Street in Arcadia, and was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, police said.

A motive for the shooting was unclear and a description of the shooter was not immediately available.

The name of the victim was not disclosed.
