Yan, who holds a MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management , and Michael, a software engineer, stumbled upon Snip-its after several unsuccessful attempts getting their daughter's first haircut. When the couple took their daughter to Snip-its two years ago, they had an ‘ah-ha’ moment. After having such a great experience, it only took Yan a year to take a leap of faith and be fully committed to launching her own Snip-its franchise. Now she’s starting a new chapter in her career by making a name in the kid’s field—following her entrepreneurial spirit to open and manage a new Snip-its location fulltime.

“Snip-its is more than just a hair salon – it’s a fun adventure for the family; an experience to remember,” Yan said. “When you take your child to Snip-its, you know you’ll be in good hands. We don’t stop our work at churning out quality haircuts. We recognize the 20 minutes that a family spends with us for a haircut is often the most precious time they’ve carved out of their hectic schedule. We want to be viewed as a neighborhood hangout spot for families with young kids. We’ve got games, toys, books and of course tablets!”
