Two Monrovia Homes Listed as 17 Oldest for Sale in LA County
One of the homes once belonged to Annette Nye, a important figure in Monrovia history.

Two Monrovia homes are included in a list of the 17 oldest houses listed for sale in Los Angeles County.
Curbed LA put out the list that includes the Annette Nye home at 137 Norumbega Drive and a second property at 115 E. Greystone Ave.
The two-level cottage-style home on Norumbega was built in 1888, according Redfin.com. The property's was purchased by L.H. Field from the original owners and Field sold it to Nye.
Nye was one of the founders of the Saturday Afternoon Club, which later became the Woman's Club. The group was responsible for creating Monrovia's library, according to the website. John L. Wiley mentioned Nye is his "History of Monrovia" book.
The four-bedroom, 2,200 square-foot home is listed at $925,000.
The 2,930 square-foot Greystone home was built in 1890 and has six bedrooms and three bathrooms, according to Redfin.com. The two-level house is listed at $795,000.
