2020: Year of Membership OR Be a game changer?

La Crescenta Woman’s Club is a wonderful service organization for members to perform charitable work either by direct hands-on efforts or by raising money to help others in their community, state, or around the globe. Everyone benefits when Club members come together in a service project to make a positive and lasting change for someone in need. The most effective way we can continue to support our goal to “Volunteer to Make a Difference,” is to recruit new members––the game changer for all our volunteer efforts. When new and existing members join together, we can learn many valuable lessons from volunteering. We hope you will come visit a Club meeting (we hold both daytime and evening meetings) or attend an event to get to know our members.

At our Daytime Luncheon meeting on February 12th we will celebrate our Club’s 109th Birthday, recognize our Past Presidents and have a speaker from the Salvation Army After School Program. This is a wonderful Program, which provides after school care and constructive projects for area students. Held at 10 AM at 4004 La Crescenta Ave., La Crescenta.

For our February 17th Evening program we are excited to have representatives from the Montrose Search and Rescue non profit team as speakers. The team is made up of dedicated volunteers from our local community, that respond to calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Whether the call is for a lost or injured hiker, skier, or rock climber, the Montrose Search and Rescue Team is always ready to respond. Come hear about the men and women of this dedicated team!
