Atlantic Giant Pumpkins Have Arrived In Montrose!

Fresh from the farm, giant pumpkins are the centerpiece for Fall vignettes throughout the Montrose Shopping Park.

The annual Fall decor in the Montrose Shopping Park arrived early this year! Usually these displays happen after Oktoberfest to make room for the tens of thousands of people that descend on the town to celebrate. But 2020 is a different kind of year. The MSPA Board decided we all needed some extra cheer to compensate. So as soon as the pumpkins were ready to take from the vine the decorating began.

The giant pumpkins weigh between 200 and 400 pounds and take four men to lift them off the truck! To round out the assortment several large orange and white pumpkins and corn stalks are lined up in the staging area.

Next come the pumpkin people.

MSPA Event Coordinator DALE DAWSON has been designing the Montrose Fall vignettes since 2014. This impressive one sits at the intersection of Honolulu and Ocean View. It is a love message from the merchants to all passersby saying "Fall In Love With Montrose!"

Additional displays can be found throughout the shopping park. They make amazing photo ops for Instagram pics and family memories.
