Bonjour! Customers happily wait in line as they decide which delicious treats to enjoy at the French inspired GIO'S BAKERY & CAFE. The vision for this popular Montrose eatery began right on the streets of Paris in 1997. The owners desired to bring that Paris cafe feeling everyone loves back home. They began to import the croissant, baguette, and pastry dough to the USA and soon Gio's was born.
The question is "Which ones will I choose?" There are so many beautifully displayed pastries that it's hard to pick just one.
Speaking from personal experience, this PEACH CROISSANT, is one of the best pastries I have ever had... In my life!... A crisp on the outside, flakey, buttery croissant enrobes a peach half surrounded by custard. It's just Paris perfection! They also come in apple, apricot, and pear.

You haven't lived until you've had a Gio's CREAM PUFF. There are several varieties with different shapes and fillings. All baked fresh daily.

Here the sandwiches are served on that fresh French bread and accompanied by a healthy garden salad. There are also homemade soups and crepes. The cafe overlooks Ocean View Blvd. with a nice panorama of the one of a kind boutiques Montrose is known for.
Brother and sister owners AZNIV and SHANT FERNEZLIAN run the day to day operations at Gio's. It was their parents who had the vision to bring Paris to Montrose. Azniv is holding one of their claims to fame, the GIO'S BAGUETTE. You can get them to go or enjoy one fresh and warm with house creamery butter. Simply delicieux!
