Join us for our 2nd Bingo night at the Veteran Memorial Hall This Bingo night is presented by the American Legion Post 288 and VWF Post 1641. Proceeds will benefit the Scouting Programs of the Verdugo Hills Council, Boy Scout of America, who provide wonderful programs such as Rocket Academy. Over 500 people attend Rocket Academy every year. Cub Scouts and their families spend a weekend in April building rockets and blasting them high in the air, doing archery, shooting BB guns, swimming, hiking, and participating in other arranged activities while camping under the starry night sky at Camp Verdugo Oaks. Verdugo Hills Council provides other programs as well, like Cub Haunt, Cub Scout Summer Resident Camp, Cub Scout Summer Day Camp, Camporee, and Extreme Merit Badge Mania.
Please support Scouting in your community! Scouts help our community in many ways: the local public and private schools benefit from Eagle Projects which range from putting new shelving in the music room to revamping the water polo storage shed to putting benches and gardens in recreational areas. Eagle Scouts have also worked with nonprofits to build welcoming visitor kiosks at a local native garden, asked for donations to fill our local food pantries, and collected shoes for the less fortunate. Every year, Scouts in the Foothills come out to help with the Foothill Cleanup to keep our streets clean from litter and trash. And the truth is that this is only a small sample of the service projects Scouts perform in our communities.
Tickets to this Bingo night are $20.00, and they can be purchased online at
