Drones And Dragsters Descend On Montrose

One of the favorite Summer family events of the year, the 18th ANNUAL MONTROSE CAR SHOW, will take place Sunday, July 7 from 9-2. The show is totally booked and all three blocks of Honolulu Ave. will be filled with hundreds of vintage cars including Hot Rods, Classics, Exotics, and Trucks.

A special section on Ocean View Blvd. will house old race cars and dragsters. Twice during the event a "Cackle Fest" will take place where the cars rev up their engines. It is a very exciting thing to witness. Warning: it gets very loud. Earplugs are usually made available. Vintage motorcycles will be on display in the Montrose Travel parking lot.

The merchants of the Montrose Shopping Park, who sponsor this event and host a SIDEWALK SALE, are making things even more exciting. They want you to enjoy the cars but they also want you to discover their stores. Thus "WALK FOR A DRONE" was born. ANDREW ORDUBEGIAN, pictured here, happened to be at a recent MSPA marketing meeting with his Dad and was most enthusiatic about the concept.

Car show attendees can pick up a STORE PASSPORT at the MSPA information booth. The concept is simple. You look for the hidden toy car in participating shops. When you find it you get your card stamped. The first 50 people to fill the card and redeem their passports will receive a FREE DRONE!

Farm to table fruits and vegetables anyone? The Sunday HARVEST MARKET will take place throughout the show. You'll find it in a special location by the town clock.
