A stroll down Honolulu Avenue in Montrose is a feast for the eyes and the senses. Surrounded by mountains twenty minutes north of downtown L.A. is the land of "Mayberry". A world so close, yet far apart from all the hustle and bustle of city life. A shop and dine oasis with winding tree lined streets and flowers in bloom. You won't find that canned, nonstop, piped in music that plays in other outdoor shopping venues. Instead you are treated to the relaxing sounds of nature, of birds singing in the trees.

You'll be walking along discovering the many boutiques and sidewalk cafes and stumble upon vistas like this. This is the backdrop for Montrose Travel and Allure Travel by CTM. The artist behind this glorious display is LEX PUTPRAW, a gentle, humble man who's motivation is to use his God given gifts to bring joy to others. A winner of the prestigious Glendale Beautiful Award, Lex has been singlehandedly beautifying Montrose for over twenty years. You can enjoy his handiwork not only on Honolulu Ave., but also in the alley that runs behind the historic Montrose Travel building. He enjoys blessing the neighbors with hearts, American flags, and sculpted trees.
