Erin Ashby, Troy Mulcahy Earn All-CIF Honors for CVHS
Ashby named to All-CIF Division 3 softball squad, Mulcahy gets spot on All-CIF Division 2 baseball.
The CIF-Southern Section released its All-CIF softball squads Monday afternoon, and Falcon senior Erin Ashby was one of six pitchers to earn a spot on the All-CIF Division 3 team.
Ashby, who earlier won the Pacific League Most Valuable Player Award for a second consecutive year, dominated at the plate and in the circle for a Falcons squad that finished tied for first place in the Pacific League this year.
Ashby struck out 124 batters in 97 innings while compiling a 15-3 record. She also led the Falcons with a .636 batting average, 10 home runs and 14 doubles.

Crescenta Valley junior Troy Mulcahy was the lone baseball Falcon to earn a spot on the All-CIF Division 2 first team. Mulcahy helped lead CVHS to a second-place finish in the Pacific League and a trip to the CIF playoffs.
Falcons junior pitcher Elliot Surrey earned a spot on the Division 2 second team.
