Faye's Montrose, A Timeless Classic That Brings Comfort And Fame
Right in the middle of the Montrose Shopping Park, Faye's legacy speaks volumes about Montrose past, present, and future.

This past year has taken us all for a loop. Change. People moving out of state in record numbers. New people moving in as fast as the others left. The ever learning challenge of dealing with a major pandemic. All of which makes us long for gentler times. A place where we can go and feel safe. FAYE'S Montrose is one such place.

When you step through the doors you are greeted with comfort. An array of cotton nightgowns and pajamas on tidy racks. Women have been shopping here for generations. Now their daughters and granddaughters are too. The younger generation thinks it's special and helps them understand the true "shopping experience" including personal service and hand written sales checks.
There is a legacy here. When owner Pat Grant was a teenager she began working for her Aunt Faye who started the business in 1949. Pat still works Faye's today along with her daughter Linda. Montrose originals.

And then there is the Hollywood connection. The Fox Searchlight film HITCHCOCK starring Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren features a famous scene inside Faye's. You can read about it here. Helen liked Faye's so much she hung around a while to shop.
Recently the Netflix film MOXIE, directed by Amy Poehler, was released containing a scene where Faye's is the vintage store. If only these mannequins could talk!
