This is the week the U.S. Small Business Administration recognizes and celebrates Mom & Pop. What better way to join in the fun than walking the streets of Montrose. This morning I did just that! The weather is perfect, the sky is blue, and you just never know what hidden gems you will find. Join me as I head North on Ocean View Blvd. from Honolulu Ave. and check out the west side of the 3800 block.
First stop GIO'S BAGUETTE'S & MORE. The owners here love going to Paris and wanted to bring that French café feeling to Montrose. A perfect fit since Montrose is French for "mountain rose". Gio's imports it's dough from France and uses it for their fresh baked baguette's and pastries. This is the place for great coffee, croissants, homemade soups and salads, and sandwiches made with that awesome bread. Bread lovers (and you know who you are!) should try a warm baguette with creamery butter. Simple perfection!

Have you tried Boba yet? For those that are new to the term, BOBA are delicious small, chewy, tapioca balls that look like black pearls.
