J's Maintenance Celebrates 50 Years In Grand Style
The Waldheim family treated friends and supporters to a fabulous party at Vertigo, Glendale with fine food and lots of community spirit
VERTIGO, a state of the art event venue in Glendale, was recently the scene of a very special party hosted by Ed and Chris Waldheim and family. J's MAINTENANCE, who puts community at the heart of their business, celebrated 50 years of doing business in the Montrose, La Crescenta, Glendale area. Guests pulled up to complimentary valet parking which set the tone for an exquisitely planned evening of friendship, appreciation, and pampering.
The evening started with drinks and gourmet hors d'oeuvres followed by recognition and commendation from local dignitaries including California State Senator ANTHONY PORTANTINO, City Of Glendale Councilmember PAULA DEVINE, State Assembly Member LAURA FRIEDMAN, and more. CRESCENTA VALLEY WEEKLY publisher ROBIN GOLDSWORTHY presented the Finest Award and shared a heartwarming testimony of how J'S Maintenance has been such a support to the paper, including helping it get started ten years ago.
After much cheering the curtains to the grand ballroom were opened to reveal tables topped with fresh flowers and a gourmet buffet that ran the length of the room.

Succulent Short Ribs of Beef and Chicken Breast with Mushroom Sauce were beautifully complimented with all manner of veggies, salads, dips, and condiments.
A professional photographer was on hand to capture the event including this shot of CFO and General Manager CHRIS WALDHEIM, his wife LENA who was the mastermind behind the party, and their sons.

There was even a caricature artist! Here "Queen Of The Foothills" JANE KANE (left) posed with her friend local designer LAURIE JO PHILLIPS (center) and Laurie's sister NAN, who were very pleased with their memento.
After some inspiring sharing time from Ed and Chris dessert was served.
Guests were then given some nice swag. A fine ending to a night that all who attended will long remember. As some folks were saying, "It's going to be hard to top this!"
