Man's Body Found On Angeles Crest Highway Near La Crescenta
The body was found near a white pickup truck registered to an Arcadia man reported missing Aug. 12.

LA CRESCENTA, CA – Hikers found a man's body on the Angeles Crest Highway near La Crescenta Monday, near a pickup truck registered to an Arcadia man reported missing Aug. 12.
The discovery was made about 1 p.m. around Mile Marker 61 of the scenic Angeles Crest Highway, said Lt. Gary Harman of the sheriff's Crescenta Valley Station.
The white pickup truck was in the law enforcement system as belonging to a suicidal man reported missing to Arcadia police Aug. 12, Harman said.

Sheriff's homicide detectives and the coroner were called to the scene, he said. Authorities were not releasing the name of the missing man, Harman said, and the coroner's office did not identify him.
