Montrose Happenings In The New Year

The Montrose Shopping Park board, representing over 150 businesses in the BID, met today for the first time this year. The room lit up with the appearance of City of Glendale Councilwoman PAULA DEVINE who was able to stay for the entire meeting.

Thanks to MSPA Communications STEVE PIERCE, fresh donuts and hot coffee awaited those in attendance.

In this meeting MSPA Board Officers were voted in to their positions for the year. Congratulations to ANDRE ORDUBEGIAN (Copy Network) serving another year as President, GIGI GARCIA (It Takes A Village Kids) Vice President, KIM KELLY (Merle Norman) Secretary, and KEN GRAYSON (Grayson's Tune Town) Treasurer. JEANNIE BONE (Casa Cordoba) and COREY GRIJALVA (Joselito's) will continue as board members at large.

Several topics were discussed including:

* VALENTINE'S... celebration February 9th with long stem red roses for shoppers and "Charlie Chaplin's" return

* PINK PIG & ROCKY COLA...when? when? when? are they going to open?

* ROCKHAVEN...the MSPA is in support of this project going forward as planned

* PARKING provisions for when GCC opens on Honolulu

Armen Arazian spoke on behalf of Rubik Golanian, City Of Glendale, to discuss crosswalk safety and more.

In the December meeting Officer Patrick Magtoto was thanked for his reports and help. This year MATT ZAKARIAN, center, will be returning as GPD liaison to the MSPA.

The La Crescenta Woman's Club was given a nice reward for their participation in the Montrose Holiday Wine Walk. The non profit group receives 15% of ticket sales for helping to make everything run smoothly.

The holiday decorations are still up for a few more days. After Christmas sales are happening as we look forward to another SHOP & DINE year of family fun in the one and only MONTROSE SHOPPING PARK!
