Montrose Search And Rescue Aids Hiking Party

ANGELES CREST, CA — Members of the Montrose Search and Rescue team assisted in a rescue on the Angeles Crest Highway Trail after their discovery of an unconscious hiker.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department airlifted the hiker, whose injuries were not reported, according to dispatch. The victim was flown by helicopter to the Huntington Memorial Hospital, LACFD dispatch said.

The Montrose Search and Rescue Team escorted the group of uninjured hikers off the trail, a spokesperson said.
