Mother's Day Brunch at Descanso Gardens

Inside the beautiful urban botanical Descanso Gardens, is the family-friendly Maple restaurant. This dining venue about 20 minutes from downtown Los Angeles, offering a garden-adjacent dining room with an arts-&-crafts vibe.

One can hear champagne bottles pop open for guests ordering from the Mimosa Bar. Select either Philippe Dublanc or Lanson black label brut. They also serve four different cold juice flavors for a splash of sweetness. Other beverage choices include white, rose' and red wine to pair with your brunch fare. Non alcoholic beverages include lemonade, hot or cold tea, Intelligentsia coffee and sodas.

Open on the weekends, guests can choose one of four toasts: fresh berry toast; soft scramble sourdough toast; avocado and fresh ricotta on whole wheat; and Nutella with sliced caramelized bananas on cranberry and pecan toasted bread.

Breakfast favorites include a green goddess salad, brioche French toast or a delicate and light peas and carrots omelet topped with garden picked herbs and decorated with rainbow carrot strips and fresh fruit.

Hearty dishes include Chino Farms Eggs Benedict on toasted brioche instead of an English muffin. It's topped with ham, creamed spinach and Country potatoes finish this dish. Another favorite is a breakfast burrito filled with farm fresh organic eggs, a heirloom tomato salsa, Mexican Cream, avocado, roasted poblano and country potatoes.

On Mother's Day from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., a special family brunch will be served in the Descanso Gardens Rose Pavilion. Patina Restaurant Group's Executive Chef Philip Mack’s creatively takes the surrounding blooming gardens to decorate the venue and plates he presents. Enjoy selections from the Maple Chicken & Waffle Station, The Carvery featuring Garlic and Herb Prime Rib Roast, and the Eggs Benedict Station.
