Iconic, beloved, the place where many local childhood memories were made, Mt. Waterman opens this weekend

Mt. Waterman Ski Resort will be open on Saturday and Sunday, January 16 and 17, from 9 AM to 4 PM.

The recent winter storm systems delivered sufficient, perfect snow to awaken the sleeping mountain, which has lay barren of snow for four years.

To reach Mt. Waterman, take Highway 2 North (Angeles Crest Highway) from the 210 freeway and drive approximately 36 miles. Mt. Waterman is located across the road from Buckhorn Camping and Day Use area.

Newcomb’s Ranch Bar and Restaurant will also be open this weekend from 7 AM to 4 PM, serving breakfast and lunch and a wide variety of beverages. Newcomb’s is approximately 7 miles from Mt. Waterman to the west.
