A New Business Is Coming To Montrose!

New businesses, a big award, major film shoot, and a special visit from the City of Glendale in an action packed Montrose Board meeting!

A new business is coming to town! TRIBE TO TABLE will be opening in September next to PARADIS ice cream in the former Antique Store spot. CHRISTIAN MOYA and LORRY AMIEVA were on hand to share their concept of native American healthy snacks and packaged goods for humans and pets including "Better Than Dog Food" wild salmon. Christian is also starring in a new reality show but more about that another day. STAY TUNED! You heard it here FIRST folks!

We were happy to hear from another new business owner. NICHOLAS SCHWAIGERLEHNER (pronounced Schwag er line er) founded TECHNIX ACADEMY which recently opened at 2225 Honolulu near THE BLACK COW. They offer classes in coding, robotics, computers, and software, making STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) activities fun. Here he is teaching us that 1+1=2. Only kidding!

Serious faces all around as Glendale City Manager YASMIN BEERS did a thorough and understandable job of sharing information about a proposed tax increase.

A surprise visit from CRESCENTA VALLEY WEEKLY reporter MARY O'KEEFE who came to present the CV Weekly's FINEST VOLUNTEER AWARD to STEVE PIERCE. He has certainly made his mark in town doing so much to make the Montrose/LaCrescenta area a great place to live. Among MANY other things Steve is our FILMING LIASON. Another big film shoot is coming to town! Watch for "STATION 19" filming on Honolulu Ave. WELL DONE Steve!!!
