Safety, Zoning, Events Hot Topics At Montrose Board Meeting

City Of Glendale Officials shared plans for improvement, safety, and a good retail mix at today's MSPA monthly board meeting.

The September board meeting of the Montrose Shopping Park Association (MSPA) was a meaty one. PHILIP LANZAFAME, Director Of Community Development for the City Of Glendale and a local Montrose resident, was on hand to discuss various components of keeping a vibrant retail mix in the MSPA.

ROUBIK GOLANIAN, Asst. City Manager, presented a plan for improvements based on a "Honolulu Avenue Pedestrian Safety Improvements Study". Lighting has been upgraded, trees trimmed, and landscaping is in progress. Plans are in the works to test an L.E.D. flashing stop sign at Wickham Way. Additional improvements were discussed. Stay tuned.

There is LOTS to look forward to in the EVENTS department with the upcoming MONTROSE FILM FESTIVAL, the Montrose Chamber's OKTOBERFEST, Halloween SPOOKTAKULAR, the HOLIDAY WINE WALK, OLD TOWN CHRISTMAS, and more!
