See Casa Córdoba On TV This Saturday!

Casa Córdoba, Montrose's most romantic restaurant, will be featured on "This Is L.A." CBS channel 2 this Saturday at 3 pm!

There are many things contributing to CASA CÓRDOBA being voted Glendale’s most romantic restaurant. #1 would be the amazing outdoor patio reminiscent of what you would find in southern Spain. The twinkling lights, colorful tiled tables, gentle water fountain, and Spanish guitar romance and transport you to Andalusia, Spain.

Then there’s the food! Authentic Spanish cuisine from gifted Chef ERICK ZEDA. The PAELLA is a must here. There are usually four varieties and each is prepared from scratch, to order, in a special paella pan.

I have many favorites here, one of them being the Gambas a la Brasa above. Marinated, grilled, large white shrimp are served with the perfect burnt lemon aioli. And there’s my all time “must order” Berenjena Frita. Crispy battered and fried eggplant drizzled with a honey glaze. A taste sensation!

Casa Córdoba has a variety of small, exquisite dishes that are meant to be shared. Even the complimentary dish of olives is memorable. Not just any olives mind you, but young olives from Spain in a special marinade.

Next comes the wine, sherry, and Sangria, all imported and inspired by Spain. The signature house SANGRIA is a secret recipe. A base of white or red wine is infused with a dash of sherry, finished with fruit, and can be ordered by the pitcher or glass. Most refreshing!

Then there are the Spanish wines! A whole wall of them! Many from small family vineyards that are specially selected by Casa’s owners on their trips to Spain.

Even the experienced waiters contribute to the romantic atmosphere. ANGEL (pictured) is a model and actor from the Canary Islands.

A romantic dining getaway to CASA CÓRDOBA is not complete without dessert and a glass of Spanish Sherry. The CHURROS CON CHOCOLATE is the perfect ending to a fine meal and you will find yourself licking the bowl.

The sherrys range from very dry to sweet and Casa Córdoba is on a mission to educate us how to enjoy this fine libation.

How lucky we are to have the one and only CASA CÓRDOBA right here in Montrose. Owners CHRIS & JEANNIE BONE have truly brought us a treasure. Their love of food and Spain are from the heart and so perfect for this ideal setting.

The word is getting out! When people experience Casa Córdoba they want to share it. And that is exactly what is happening this weekend. THIS IS L.A. is doing a special feature on Casa THIS SATURDAY on CBS channel 2 at 3 pm. I got a sneak preview and you don’t want to miss it! Set your DVR to record it. Tell all your friends!
