Thank You Tom Lorenz!

Tom Lorenz, Director of Communications for the City Glendale, recently retired and was honored at a reception last week at GPD headquarters.

This was the scene at the Glendale Police Headquarters community room last week. It was a rainy day but that didn't stop a large group of people from gathering there on December 5th to honor and thank TOM LORENZ at his retirement reception.

Tom had an amazing career with the City Of Glendale which started in 1982 as a Police Cadet. The last few years were spent as Director of Communication and Community Relations with a variety of public service positions in between. There was standing room only as he shared his sentiments.

TAMAR SADD, Economic Development Coordinator, shows off the many faces of Tom Lorenz. What a clever idea!

My husband, DALE DAWSON, and I were honored to be there and wish Tom well. He was a good friend to the Montrose Shopping Park Association. On a more personal note...

It was Tom who rescued us in 2016 when our car broke down in the dreaded "dead zone" on the 210 freeway. There is no cell phone reception there and he just happened to be driving by, saw us, and pulled over. What a guy!

Thank you Tom Lorenz for your many years of public service to the City of Glendale! You will be missed!
