The pursuit leads police through Simi Valley.

The California Highway Patrol on Wednesday apprehended a driver who lead officers on a high-speed pursuit that lead them to Moorpark and through Simi Valley, Chatsworth and other parts of the Southland.

A run of the license plate with what would have been a routine traffic stop revealed the car had been stolen and the owner had been carjacked, Officer Vince Ramirez of the CHP told the news station.
The driver, a Hispanic male 18 - 25 years of age, drove at speeds of more than 100 mph, beginning southbound on the 5 Freeway before heading west on the 118 Freeway, where the pursuit went as far west as Moorpark before the driver exited the westbound freeway and looped back on to head east, driving through Simi Valley, Porter Ranch and Chatsworth before exiting the freeway in Granada Hills.
