Martin Scorsese, at 77, shows no signs of slowing down his astonishing film-making career. His most recent project, due to start principal photography this year, is “Killers of the Flower Moon,” which falls close on the hills of last year’s “The Irishman,” shown on Netflix to wide acclaim.

Martin’s ongoing love affair with the movies (watching, directing, producing, etc.) started when Martin was a child with asthma, which prevented him from enjoying sports with the other kids. So his mom and older brother took him to the movies instead. Little did they think, I am sure, that their efforts would nurture the enormous talent Martin turned out to be! Lucky for all us movie-goers, for sure.
