Prue Leith, at 80, is involved yet another venture along with her absolutely astonishing array of projects and passions: Chancellor of Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. Currently a judge on Britain’s acclaimed TV show, The Great British Bake-Off, there seems to be no end to Prue’s interests.
She’s been not only a restaurant creator, chef, caterer, television host, businesswoman, food columnist and author of numerous cookbooks as well as novels, Prue also has a profound interest in education. She’s contributed her talents to the improvement of food in schools, to setting up cooking clubs in state schools, and to innumerable charities devoted to the betterment of food in all manner of establishments. Whew! It doesn’t look like Prue is likely to retire from her many activities any time soon. What an inspiration.
