Sophia Loren, at 86, returns to the silver screen with her first feature film role in over a decade, in the Netflix drama “The Life Ahead.” Sophia has lost none of her fabled beauty and talent as she stars in this heartfelt story as the reluctant caretaker of an angry 12-year-old Senegalese orphan who’s headed down the wrong path.

Sophia began acting in her teens, and under the guidance and tutelage of Carlo Ponti, later to become her husband, blossomed into a gifted actress. Among her many kudos, Sophia won an Academy Award and the BAFTA for best actress in “La Ciocara (Two Women).” How wonderful that once again Sophia graces our screens!
