Meet An “Amazing” Whose Acting Reaches Across The Universe

Ann Firbank, at 87, reached audiences in a new and compelling way with her portrayal of “Tatooine Elder” in the 2019 Star Wars film “The Rise of Skywalker.”

Ann can usually be found on screen and stage in the UK and abroad all the way to India. Her roles are generally in movies such as “Persuasion,” based in a Jane Austen novel, and other period pieces. However, this time, instead of going backwards in history (fictional or otherwise), Ann found herself going forward – or at least outward – into space and time. How thrilling.
